The Public Relations Associate supports public relations programs and other marketing activities of the Marketing team. This fast-paced position assists in the design, implementation, and execution of public relations initiatives, media relations, special events, social media, industry research, marketing communications, and general marketing support.  This position reports to the Content/PR Manager and is based in Temecula, CA.


 Public Relations

  • Establish and maintain relationships with media contacts
  • Grow media contact list
  • Create and distribute press and news releases
  • Pitch execution for editorial opportunities and speaking engagements
  • Perform industry research (identify and understand key players, outlets, and trends in multiple industries)
  • Perform research on conferences, events, and associations
  • Execute reputation management strategies in partnership with PR Manager

 Social Media

  • Maintain positive online presence on social networks (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • Manage and track Social Media (fan base and engagement)
  • Grow and engage social media audiences
  • Manage YouTube and Slideshare sites
  • Manage social media campaigns for new product launches

Marketing Support

  • Conduct market research
  • Draft content for a variety of forms (blogs, articles, case studies)
  • Support internal marketing communications
  • Support website content


  • Comprehensive understanding of current public relations strategies and methods
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Copywriting experience, excellent attention to detail and proof reading skills
  • Ability to set priorities, handle multiple assignments and deadlines, and display excellent judgment, while operating in a flexible and professional manner
  • Ability to handle confidential materials and situations with sensitivity and discretion
  • Superior understanding of social networks, specifically with LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook
  • Ability to work proactively independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work closely and collaboratively within own team and cross-functionally
  • Demonstrable initiative and creativity skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
  • Previous experience in public relations, highly preferred


  •  BA or BS in Public Relations or Communications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel)
  • Experience with a CRM, preferably Salesforce
  • Proficiency with Adobe Suite
  • Experience with a CMS (WordPress)
  • Familiar with marketing automation SaaS, preferably Hubspot
  • Experience with Cision/ Newswire platform
  • Familiar with social media management software
  • Working knowledge of web editing and design (HTML)
  • Familiarity with the following industries a plus: Training and development, consulting, human resources
  • Previous agency experience, preferred
