Symposium Terms & Conditions
This symposium is managed by Partners In Leadership, LLC (“Partners In Leadership”). By registering for and attending this symposium, each participant acknowledges and agrees to the following Terms & Conditions. All fees associated with your registration, accommodation(s), and/or event passes to the symposium are payable in full as per Partners In Leadership’s payment terms. You may register on behalf of others, however, you will be liable for all associated fees for any participants that you register.
We ask that you please ensure that you register for the correct symposium and choose the option relevant to your requirements. Should you require assistance at any time, please do not hesitate to contact Partners In Leadership, at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone 800-504-6070 during normal office hours between Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm PST. Please note that the office is closed after hours, on holidays, and during the weekends, but you may leave a message and you will be contacted as soon as the staff returns to the office.
You agree that you will not cause harm to Partners In Leadership, its staff and Directors, and will not cause harm in the form of legal fees, claims, and expenses arising from electronic communications or uploaded files.
Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated in the symposium or towards the Partners In Leadership staff. Neither will threats or abusive behavior toward any individual. If such an incident occurs, any person violating this policy will be asked to leave and will not be provided with a refund.
Participants should advise Partners In Leadership of any special access requirements or reasonable accommodation requests at the time of registration.
Attendance certificates are only given to participants who have attended 85% of the symposium.
Child Attendance Policy
To ensure everybody’s enjoyment of the symposium, children under 18 are not permitted in the symposium room at any time. It is the parent’s responsibility to put into place adequate child care before the symposium begins. Anyone in violation of this policy will be asked to leave the session.
By submitting registration details, participants agree to allow Partners In Leadership and its affiliated companies to contact them regarding their services. Participants who wish to opt out of receiving such communications please email email@example.com.
The contact details of all registered participants, who do not opt out, will be placed on a participant list which will be provided to all attendees and sponsoring companies for the purpose of networking. Participants who do not wish to be included on this list should advise Partners In Leadership at the time of booking.
Health & Safety
A health and safety evaluation will be carried out pre-symposium, however, if you see any concerning issues we ask that you immediately report this to a staff member of Partners In Leadership.
It is the responsibility of all participants and speakers to arrange appropriate insurance coverage in connection with their attendance at the symposium. Partners In Leadership will not assume responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to a participant’s property. Partners In Leadership does not assume responsibility for any medical expenses. Please ensure that you have adequate insurance to cover health and travel for this period. Your insurance should also cover your inability to travel as Partners In Leadership will not be liable in the event that you have paid for travel accommodations that you are unable to take advantage of.
Views expressed by symposium speakers are their own. Partners In Leadership does not accept liability for any advice given, beliefs, or views expressed by any speaker at the symposium, or in any material provided to participants.
Plenary & Invited Speakers’ Terms & Conditions
Partners In Leadership will use the speaker’s name and affiliation for promoting participant attendance at the symposium. Presentations given to the Partners In Leadership AV team will be permanently deleted from any Partners In Leadership computers or storage devices upon completion of the presentation. Any copies taken for backup purposes will also be deleted and shall not be distributed to any third parties without the express written consent from the authors. Any additional nights required must be paid for by the speakers themselves and will not come out of the budget for Partners In Leadership. Accompanying guests will also be required to pay for attendance to the symposium and any related additional fees. Accommodations, other than those at the venue which have been provided, will not come out of the budget. “No shows” will not be entitled to payment from the budget. Allocations from the budget are not redeemable for cash and will only be provided if a speaker fulfills all symposium obligations. Travel reimbursements will only be made up to the allowance allocated upon completion of the appropriate form with the actual receipts. Partners In Leadership reserves the right to book all travel and accommodations at their sole discretion.
Photography & Filming
Photography, recordings and filming within the symposium room(s) or poster room is strictly forbidden. Any participant violating this policy will be asked to immediately leave and will not be provided a refund.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT BY ENTERING THIS SYMPOSIUM, YOU CONSENT TO YOUR VOICE, NAME, AND/OR LIKENESS BEING USED, WITHOUT COMPENSATION, IN FILMS AND TAPES FOR EXPLOITATION IN ANY AND ALL MEDIA, WHETHER NOW KNOWN OR HEREAFTER DEVISED, FOR ETERNITY, AND YOU RELEASE PARTNERS IN LEADERSHIP, ITS SUCCESSORS, ASSIGNS AND LICENSEES FROM ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER OF ANY NATURE.
DO NOT ENTER THE SYMPOSIUM AREA IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE SUBJECT TO THE FOREGOING.
Distributing, quoting or sharing any content obtained at or from the symposium, whether verbally, electronically or printed is strictly prohibited without first obtaining written consent from Partners In Leadership.
Credit Card Payments
Partners In Leadership requires credit card payment at the time of registration in U.S. Dollars. Partners In Leadership requires the full value of the registration fees and any bank or credit card fees must be covered by the attendee when making payment. Be advised that your Credit Card information will not be stored by Partners In Leadership.
International Credit Card Payments
On occasion, Credit Card payments may not be authorized by our Merchant Services Provider. Often times, a call to your Credit Card provider to inform them of your desire to make a payment to Partners In Leadership, is all that is required and shortly after this call, you will be able to finalize the payment.
Credit Card payments are the only permissible method of payment. Checks, cash, and other forms of payment are not accepted.
Credit Card fraud is becoming an increasing threat. To help combat the rising fraud, all businesses that process and transmit cardholder data are required to comply with industry rules aimed to increase data security. Our Merchant Services Provider has created our compliance program to ensure that we maintain PCI DSS Compliance at every stage of our Credit Card Transaction Process.
Refunds & Cancellations
Refunds will not be provided if you simply change your mind; however, if your circumstances change beyond your control please contact Partners In Leadership immediately via email, or by phone at 800-504-6070, to amend your registration.
Partners In Leadership will endeavor to assist you in accordance with our refund policy. Should a participant be unable to attend the symposium, they may nominate an alternative person from their organization to attend up to 7 days prior to the start of the event. You must contact Partners In Leadership no later than 7 days prior to the commencement of the symposium to arrange for an alternative. Substitutions and cancellations must be received in writing.
Cancellation of Event Passes (no accommodation)
Should your circumstances change beyond your control and you are unable to attend the symposium, you must contact Partners In Leadership in writing, no later than 21 days prior to the symposium. A cancellation fee of $100 will apply to cover costs incurred in relation to your registration. Should you cancel less than 21 days prior to the commencement of the symposium, no refund will be due. Please note that cancellation charges apply to all of the participants in your group and all of the nights for which you book accommodations.
If you cancel within 7 days of paying for the symposium, Partners In Leadership will refund your payment in full.
Partners In Leadership will only refund fees paid directly to Partners In Leadership. Refunds will be authorized and sent for processing within 10 working days of receiving a refund request in writing and will be added to the next available payment batch. Please note holidays will be in addition to the 10 working days.
Should a symposium be jeopardized due to unforeseen circumstances, such as: terrorism (including threats), war, major weather conditions, Country borders closing, acts of god or natural disaster such as an earthquake, Partners In Leadership will, if possible, find an alternative venue. Should a situation occur where Partners In Leadership must postpone a symposium, your registration fee will be transferred to the new date of the symposium.
The registration fee has been calculated to encourage attendance for the entire symposium and to provide the symposium budget to each symposium chair. The registration fee will be charged regardless of the length of time an attendee is present at the symposium.
On completion of your registration, please verify the details in the confirmation email sent to you by Partners In Leadership. If you require any assistance or any changes, please do not hesitate to contact Partners In Leadership. Please review the name and title you are registered under as this will be the information on your participant badge. Any name changes to a participant badge at the venue will incur an administrative fee payable prior to any changes being made.
Your registration for the symposium represents an offer to purchase Partners In Leadership’s product. This invoice will contain your unique registration number which you are required to use for all future inquiries or correspondence, in order to help identify you. Acceptance is complete at the time Partners In Leadership sends a receipt for full payment of your registration fees and accommodation (if accommodation is applicable) to your designated email address. Information which is not contained within your original registration form and which Partners In Leadership does not confirm in the registration confirmation e-mail, does not form part of our contract.
If you have been allocated a room, please note that your room is not guaranteed until full payment has been made toward your registration or a receipt in writing from Partners In Leadership has been provided that your room accommodations are covered by the company. Please note that only registered participants will have entry into the symposium. Any person who arrives at the venue and does not wish to attend the symposium will be required to pay the full accompanying fee. This is non-negotiable. Accommodation fees are charged by Partners In Leadership on a per person basis and not per room.
Registration Payment Terms
Payment for rooms booked at the venue hotel are the responsibility of the attendee. Payment of the symposium fee does not include hotel rooms. All hotel arrangements are made separately through a link provided on the webpage.
Deadlines for special offers will be closely monitored. If you choose not to take advantage of the discounted rates and elect to order after the deadlines pass, then the full rate must be paid.
Registration Cancellation Policy
Should your circumstances change beyond your control and you are unable to attend a symposium, you must contact Partners In Leadership by no later than 21 days prior to the symposium. A cancellation fee of $100.00 will apply to cover costs incurred in relation to your registration. Should you cancel less than 21 days prior to the commencement of the Event, no refund will be due.
You are required to secure your own travel arrangements for the symposium. This is not the responsibility of Partners In Leadership or any individuals associated with the symposium. This also includes Airport transfer fees. Information to assist you with Airport transfers can be found in the ‘Welcome pack’ and on the associated website(s). All information provided is a suggestion and should not be deemed as the only options available to you. Partners In Leadership accepts no responsibility for fees charged for taxis, Airport transfers, other travel arrangements or tours.
It is your responsibility to obtain an entry visa to visit a country if it is required. Partners In Leadership will assist you by providing a letter from our company indicating such, if applicable, to your email address. This will contain the details of your participation at the symposium, the venue of the symposium, and dates of the symposium.
Websites & Links
The Partners In Leadership website may link to other websites and networking tools provided for the convenience of the participants. The contents of these websites are maintained by their owners, for which Partners In Leadership takes no responsibility. Neither can responsibility be taken for the content of any website linking to the Partners In Leadership website(s). Use of any website is at your own risk and Partners In Leadership does not assume responsibility.
By attending a symposium and filling out a feedback form, you agree that Partners In Leadership may use your feedback and opinions on our ‘Testimonial’ webpage. If your feedback is ‘Negative’ we will not edit your opinions to select and include any ‘Positive’ comments which unfairly reflect your views.
1. When Partners In Leadership communicates with you, we will generally do so via email or phone. You agree that email and phone communications are contractually binding in the same way as a properly signed and dated written document sent by mail.
2. Nothing in this agreement or on our website, www.partnersinleadership.com or any other website owned, operated, licensed or controlled by Partners In Leadership or our affiliates, shall confer on any third party any benefit or obligation.
3. If any of these terms are found at any time, by any jurisdiction, to be void, invalid or unenforceable, then it shall be treated as changed or reduced, only to the extent minimally necessary to bring it within the laws of that jurisdiction and to prevent it from being void and it shall be binding in that changed or reduced form. Subject to that, each provision shall be interpreted as severable and shall not in any way affect any other term.
4. No waiver by Partners In Leadership, in exercising any right, power or provision in this agreement shall operate as a waiver of any other right or of that same right at a future time; nor shall any delay in exercise of any power or right be interpreted as a waiver.
5. In the event of a dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or any contract between you and us, then you agree to attempt to settle the dispute by engaging in good faith with us in a process of mediation before commencing arbitration or litigation.
6. We are not liable for any breach of our obligations resulting from any cause beyond our reasonable control.
7. Any action filed regarding the symposium or in relation to this Agreement, shall be brought in state or federal court located within the County of Riverside, California. The parties irrevocably consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts and waive any jurisdictional or venue defenses otherwise available. All international governance is expressly excluded.
8. You are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions when you proceed with the registration process.
9. Partners In Leadership reserves the right to refuse service to competitors, independent consultants and/or individuals providing services identical, similar, or related to services provided by Partners In Leadership. Partners In Leadership reserves the right to withdraw a registration to one of Partners In Leadership’s seminars, workshops, or symposiums upon learning that the registration was submitted by a competitor, independent consultant and/or individual providing services identical, similar, or related to services provided by Partners In Leadership.
